The Lone Star State

As many of you know, Scott & I were planning on going to a splendid 10 day vacation to Cozumel in November--so we took a break from trying to get pregnant after making our reservations--and then suddenly found ourselves pregnant. 

We got our money back for the hotel & credit for the flight--which we only had till January to use.  Well since I won't be able to fly Nov-Jan we decided to use our credit for a long awaited visit to my brother Brian & his family (Crystal-wife, Kallie-3 yr old) who have been living in Houston, Texas the past 4 years.

It was nice to have a vacation where we didn't have plans every hour & could just relax and hang out with family.  We enjoyed swimming at their yatch club on lake Conroe & the beautiful scenery around thier home.  Mostly we just played with Kallie & had good laughs with them.

Scott made pina colada's & strawberry daquari's every night --so with that and the humidity we could get a tiny taste of Mexico.

I would like to warn you that the obese lady you see in the photos is me (almost 6 months pregnant).  Yes I am gigantor, I'm afraid of what I'm going to look like in 4 months - and pregnancy is doing wonders to my complexion!

Good Eats: Scott got his great fresh seafood & I got my southern bbq --mmm ribs

Visited the Aquarium--those who know me, know that I LOVE aquariums about as much as little kids

The aquarium had a little carnival outside we also went to.  Crystal & I are due 1 week apart so we didn't get to do any exciting rides like the boys.

Overall it was a great vacation-- I was sad to come back to real life with work & not being able to spend all day with my hubby --such is life.
