This past weekend I did the Olympic distance (1.5k swim/40k bike/10k run) of the St. George Triathlon. Before being pregnant this was my favorite distance, I could push myself, yet it was still fun. I didn't think I would struggle doing one - boy was I wrong. Carrying 15 extra pounds and having half the muscle strength about killed me. The race was super tough especially with all the super steep hills, about a million times I wanted to quit but I didn't. It's extremely frustrating to suffer so much in a race that I use to love doing and being SO slow....guess I still have alot of work ahead of me. I still have NO idea how I am going to complete a 1/2 ironman if I can barely finish an Olympic distance. My husband has way too much faith in me, but hopefully it will help me lose these 15 pounds that have been stuck on me forever. Since only my close friends & family read my blog I figured it was okay to show my obesity in spandex...which is not approved for facebook. :) All of my sister-in-law's are so lucky how they lost their baby weight so fast and with no effort.
Kadee Lynn was a white ghost covered in sunscreen. Of course she was sleeping everytime I saw Scott.
Tammy, I'm so impressed! I can't believe Kadee Lynn is less than 6 months old and you already undertook such a big race! You rock, and you put me to shame! : )
