Kadee Lynn Update

Kadee Lynn is growing so fast.  She learns new words every day and is now uses a few phrases.  A few I understand are: "I Dop It" (I dropped it), "I Didit" (I did it), "it Stu" (It's stuck).  She is also very good at saying our name before saying something and always following a request with please, and is very good at saying "thank you" as well.  It's funny how I use to be so concerned how she wasn't saying Mama when all the other kids were and now she is quite a talker...probably thanks to daycare.

She is in the terrible two stage only when she doesn't get something she really wants.  She does the whole tantrum on the floor screaming and kicking.  Other than that she is such a happy girl and so fun.  She is still very rough and loves to wrestle.  Her favorite game is "wun"...which is chase (run).  She also loves to run up to people and pat/hug them, although when she does this to kids her age it looks like a giant shove.  

She is addicted to me.  I say that because if I am around she wants nothing to do with any other adult around.  She won't give Scott the time of day and completely ignores him when I'm home.  She will even cry if he tries to hold her.  I feel so bad for him.  Yet, when I'm not home she just loves him like crazy.  I really wish she wouldn't do this as her daddy shouldn't be treated like that, and I would like a little break once in a while when Scott is home...but Kadee Lynn won't let him help.

She has been playing with her neighbor friends a lot after work.  Its nice so I can actually see how she interacts with kids her age.  She's not so good with sharing, but daycare told me that she normally is, its just lately that she has had a hard time with it.  Probably started the same time as her huge tantrums.

We just have so much fun together chasing each other around the house, playing pretend, coloring, singing songs (she knows all the hand gestures and some words to her songs), etc.  Needless to say I'm exhausted at the end of the day but so thankful for those few hours that I get to play with her.  (which is why my house is messy and I'm still 20 lbs overweight).

Here is a bunch a videos to make the grandparents happy (and anyone else that is Kadee Lynn obsessed).  Some of them are pretty plain...as my child likes to stop talking when I turn on the camera. Sorry I haven't been very good at sharing videos so I'll just do them all at once.

Oct 9. - Thanks Grandma & Grandpa Johnston for the bubble machine!  Apparently slick floors and bubble machines do not make a safe play environment!
