Since she is a big girl, she got to have a big girl party and go to Kangaroo Zoo. She was allowed to invite 1 friend (so mommy and daddy wouldn't get too tired going on every slide over and over). She invited her step-cousin Lucy. Lucy is even more hyper than Kadee Lynn (I didn't know that was possible) so they have a blast together with their vivid imaginations and endless energy. Her cousins Jake & Hailey were also able to come. The kids had a blast running around and being crazy. Kadee Lynn even went down the huge slide head first/upside down.
We went to my sister Jamie's house after for cupcakes, pizza, and presents. It was nice just being a small family party. I think this will be the last year we can get away with not doing a big friends party....although with how social Kadee Lynn I don't think it will be possible for her to invite all of her friends on our budget. :).
Kadee Lynn is so cute and so funny. She says the cutest things. When something tastes good she says "its yum yum yum in my tum tum tummy." Kadee Lynn is a chatty chatterbox. She just can not talk - so church is difficult, and there is no way we can take her to a movie because she has to ask what everything is and why they are doing it. I love our conversations on the way home from daycare as she tells me everything that happened that day. Kadee Lynn can make the most boring things sound so silly. I wish I loved life as much as her...I mean how would it be to be SO excited for something so simple as using a pink plate?
She is really into imagination play. The other day she was pretending to play Chase with Maggie (my moms puppy). Maggie proceeded to bite her so she had to go in her cage for time-out. This is a completely normal thing. Our house is filled with alligators, monsters, and bears...sometimes they are nice and sometimes they are mean (which is why it's good we also have pretend guns and ropes to tie them up). She still isn't into coloring but loves other crafts such as play doh, bead necklaces, painting, stickers, and she loved gingerbread houses during Christmas time.
