May/June Update

Playing Outside
Got this water table on roll-back at Walmart.  It's the best table ever, and fits perfectly on my tiny balcony.  So Kadee Lynn can play outside and I keep the kitchen door blinds up so I can watch her while I stay inside the nice cool house and clean the kitchen.

This baby-pool is the only pool I have that will fit on our tiny balcony.  I need to get a thick tub for her to play in when I don't want to fill a whole pool and want to stay inside.  She thought it was silly that she got a baby pool...but still LOVED it since its water, cups, buckets, and rocks.

Yes that is pool in our front -yard.  Our front yard is shaded in the evening so most families on this side of the street do everything in the front yard...and then all the neighborhood kids can come join the fun.  Kadee Lynn LOVES LOVES water and buckets.  I was sitting on the porch, reading my magazine with my diet coke, got up for 30 seconds to get some bubbles for Kadee Lynn and came to find her in my chair reading my magazine with a huge grin on her face.

Cows
Those black dots in the field are cows.  Some people thought they could let their 4 cows roam in the field behind our house.  That's great except the fact that we don't have a fence.  They would come into our yard and stomp around (and on my garden ;().  After about 2 weeks I was tired of it, so I called the police, they found their tags, contacted the owners and we haven't seen them since.  Kadee Lynn called them 'my cows,' since they were in our yard.

Lake
Went to Lincoln Beach (W side of Utah Lake) on Memorial Day.  Scott and I took turns going on a bike ride while Kadee Lynn loved playing on the beach.

Woops.
This is what happens when you pull into the bike with a road bike still attached.  woops.  It was the first time I did this, but with it being ontop of the Honda CRV, it hit the stucco.  Scott had done it before, but it was a tri-bike onto of the Scion so it didn't hit the stucco.  One more thing to fix...

My dad sold his Highland house so this was us saying goodbye as he officially moved to Texas year round.

I was sick of our family room looking like a daycare center, so 5 hours of cleaning and rearranging I was able to hide most of Kadee Lynn's stuff between the couches.  After 3 years, it was about time for a change.

Hogle Zoo
Zoo with Grandma & Grandpa Johnston, Jamie (& Jake & Hailey), and Kevin/Karyn (and Estelle).  It was very cute how the three girls would hold hands everywhere they went.  Hailey was playing the big sister role very well.

Kadee Lynn - she sure doesn't like to smile when I have the camera out.

It wasn't too hot but that didn't keep the kids from enjoying the super misters

You can't go to the Hogle Zoo without drinking out of the Lion drinking fountain!

My mom said Kadee Lynn didn't want to get off the carousel at all.  You can't tell from this phot but she loved it!

Swimming Par-tay!
We all got together at my moms for a little swimming party.  Nothing like warm pools.  No one did the slip n' side (I'm thinking because they were enjoying the hot kiddie pools so much).  After swimming all the kids went inside and danced/goofed off to a movie and played with toys while us adults talked about the notty things we did when younger.  It was mostly Kevin sharing stories as I couldn't think of anything illegal I've done...I've always had to much of a conscious.  It was lots of laughs.  Kevin needs to write down stories from his youth - my mom seemed like she was biting her tongue the whole time (probably couldn't believe all the stuff her baby boy did without her knowing).  We were missing all the spouses but it was fun to have 3 of my 4 siblings together.

 Weee!

Kadee Lynn got her first freckles this day - ahhh so cute.  I've been waiting for those to turn up.  Hopefully she will just get a few and not turn into a freckle face like me!
